About the Session

Do you work for a small shop and constantly hear about or dream about a major gifts program? If so, this session is for you. “Major Gifts for Small Shops. Really??” will provide you with insight into the following questions.

- what is a major gift?
- is our organization ready?
- where do we start?
- who do we involve?
- where do we end?

The goal of this session is to introduce the concept of major gift fundraising and activities that you can begin at your organization to help your team discover the sustainability of a major gifts program.

Target Audience:

Beginner level.
Small organization staff (typically no more than 2 people in development department, not including support staff, if any.)

About The Presenter

Carol Murray Rodriguez, CFRE has over 11 years of professional fundraising experience. Carol has a broad range of charitable experience, ranging from Director of Development at Homeless Shelters in Toronto to Major Gift roles, including leading the major gift program at Muscular Dystrophy Canada. Currently, Carol is the Manager, Community Development at Prostate Cancer Canada – Atlantic Region.
